Introduction: CTET 2024 

CTET 2024 December Exam – CBSE has released the notification for Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET). This is a golden opportunity for candidates who want to become teachers in government and private schools. The last date to apply online is October 16, 2024. It’s a very popular eligibility exam around 2 lakh candidates appear for CTET.

CTET stands for Central Teacher Eligibility Test. It is a national-level examination conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in India. CBSE conducts this exam to assess the eligibility of candidates for teaching in government and private schools across the country. The CTET exam is conducted twice a year in the month of June and December. The exam is conducted in two papers- Paper 1 and Paper 2. The CTET Paper 1 is for Primary Teachers to teach Classes 1 to 5, and Paper 2 is for Elementary Teachers to teach Classes 6 to 8. But if a candidate wants to teach Classes 1-8 needs to take both papers for eligibility to teach both primary and elementary classes. The CBSE has so far conducted 17 editions of the CTET exam.

CTET 2024 Exam Details:

The CTET is a national-level exam, that is conducted to check the eligibility of candidates for Primary (Classes 1 to 5) and Elementary (Classes 6 to 8) teachers.

CTET 2024 Eligibility Criteria or Educational Qualification:

CTET 2024 Educational Qualification required for Primary Teachers or Paper 1 (Classes 1 to 5):

  • Candidate applying for Paper 1, must have passed Class 12 with a minimum of 45 per cent aggregate.
  • Applying candidate should pass or pursuing the final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized University/Institution. OR
  • Applying Candidate must have passed or still pursuing the final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education with a minimum of 45% marks in accordance with the NCTE, Regulations, 2002.

Or

  • Applying Candidate must have passed or still pursuing the final year of 4 years of a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education (B.El. Ed) from a recognized University/Institution with at least 50% marks.

OR

  • Applying Candidate must have passed or still pursuing the final year of 2 years Diploma in Special Education with at least 50% marks from a recognized University/Institution.

CTET 2024 Educational Qualification required for Elementary Teachers or Paper 2 (Classes 6 to 8):

Applying candidate should be Graduate with 50 percent marks; means have passed bachelor degree and having Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years duration) or appearing in the final year examination of Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years duration).

or

Applying candidate should be Graduate with 50 percent marks; means have passed bachelor degree and having Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree or appearing in the final year examination of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed). OR

Candidate have passed Senior Secondary or its equivalent test with a minimum of 50 per cent marks and has cleared or appeared in final year exam of 4 years duration Bachelor of Elementary Education.

OR

Candidate have passed Senior Secondary or its equivalent exam with 50 per cent marks and cleared or appearing in final year exam of B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed or B.A/B.Sc.Ed.

  • CBSE Official Website: Visit the official website of CTET.
  • Read the notification: Read all the instructions carefully.
  • Fill the online form: Fill in the required information and upload the photo and signature.
  • Pay the fees: Pay the prescribed fee.
  • Submit the form: Double-check all the information before submitting the form.

CTET Admit Card 2024: to be release

The Admit Card for Dec exam 2024 to be release. Further more, Official announcement by CBSE for CTET December 2024 e- admit Card; “Candidates can download e-Admit Card from CTET official website and appear for the examination at the given Centre. In case of any discrepancy noticed in e-admit card regarding particulars of candidate, photograph and signature or any other information which is different from confirmation page, he/she may immediately contact CTET Unit for necessary corrections.

The candidates shall report at the Examination Centre at 7:30 AM for Paper – II (Morning) and at12:30 PM for Paper– I (Evening) to be held on 15.12.2024 i.e. 120 minutes before the commencement of the examination. Candidate(s) who report(s) at the examination centre after 09:30 AM in PAPER-II (Morning). And after 02:30 PM in PAPER- I (Evening) to be held on 15.12.2024 shall not be allowed to appear in the examination.
