Tata Motors conducted groundbreaking ceremony for Rs. 9000 Crore project. During the ceremony Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Shri M.K. Stalin laid the foundation stone for Tata Motors-JLR’s Project of Rs 9,000 crore manufacturing plant Over 400 acres in Ranipet district, Tamil Nadu. Moreover, the plant will manufacture electric vehicles (EVs) and their components. It is expected to create around thousands of jobs. The plant is expected to be completed by 2025. It will be Tata Motors’ third manufacturing facility in India.

The Tata Motors Ltd. conducted a groundbreaking ceremony which was attended by the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, M.K. Stalin, in the presence of several eminent Ministers along with government officials, and senior representatives of the Tata Group.

The Chairman of Tata Sons & Tata Motors, Mr. N Chandrasekaran, said he is pleased to make Panapakkam (Ranipet district) the home of company’s next generation of cars and SUVs, including electric and luxury vehicles.

This is a major milestone for the EV industry in India. Further, shows that major companies are investing in EVs and that the market is growing rapidly.
