Introduction: About UP Scholarship

UP Scholarship – There are so many scholarship schemes run by the Government of Uttar Pradesh to provide financial support to the students. The major scheme of Uttar Pradesh Govt. is under the Social Welfare Department Scholarship. UP Social Welfare Department scholarship scheme is especially for those students who come from economically weaker sections.

The main objective of this scholarship scheme is to provide financial help to meritorious students of General (Gen), Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Minority Community and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) of the society. There is no application fee charged for UP Pre and Post Matric Scholarship. This scholarship is provided by the Uttar Pradesh State Government to help students from economically weaker sections.

Uttar Pradesh Scholarship:

• Pre-Matric is for the students from class 1 to 8
• Post-Matric is for the students from class 9 to 12, undergraduate and postgraduate level

Uttar Pradesh Scholarships Eligibility:

• The student should be a permanent resident of Uttar Pradesh.
• Student should be studying in a government, aided or recognized private school/college.
• The annual income of the family should be below the prescribed limit.
• Student should meet the criteria of academic qualification.

The Social Welfare Department of Uttar Pradesh has started the online application submission process for Pre and Post Matric Scholarship. Interested candidates should fill the application and register themselves till 20 December 2024 and the last date to complete the form is 31 December 2024. After that you have to submit the hard copy of the filled application form to the institute or school on or before 05 January 2025.

How to fill UP Scholarship Form?

As we know that the UP State government has announced the launch of the Pre Matric and Post Matric Scholarship 2024-25. Interested candidates can fill the application form online through the official website- scholarship.up.gov.in. Students can register themselves till 20 December 2024 and the last date to complete the form is 31 December 2024. • Income Proof Certificate: Income certificate is a government document that shows the annual income of an individual or family.
• Aadhaar Card: Aadhar card is a mandatory document that verifies your identity.
• Birth Certificate: Birth certificate provides proof of your age.
• Residence Certificate: Residence certificate proves that you are a resident of Uttar Pradesh.
• Last/Previous Year Mark sheet: Previous year mark sheet is proof of your educational qualification.
• Fee Receipt: Fee receipt proves that you have deposited the fees in the concerned institute.
• Bank Passbook: Bank passbook contains details of your bank account in which the amount will be deposited.
• Caste Certificate: If you are from Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) or Other Backward Class (OBC), you will need a caste certificate.
• Passport Size Photo: A recently taken passport size photo.
• Enrollment Number: Your admission registration number is enrollment number

To check the current status, students should enter their password, date of birth (DOB), and registration number given at the time of form filling.
