About CTET 2024:

CTET Exam 2024: As per the official notification from CBSE the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) December attempted is now rescheduled on 15th Dec 2024. The notification for Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is released by CBSE at its official website ctet.nic.in. CBSE has also release the notification for online registration started and last date to apply online is October 16, 2024. In last attempted of CTET more than 2 lakh candidates appear for CTET exam.

CTET is a national-level examination conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The objective of CTET Exam is to assess the eligibility of candidates for teaching in government and private schools across the country. Due to large number of aspirants the exam was conducted twice a year in the month of June and December every year. The mode of CTET exam is offline.

CTET Exam Dates 2024 – Important Dates:

  • Online Application Start Dates is 17 Sep ’24 and Last Date is 16 Oct ’24
  • Form Correction: from21 Oct ’24 till 25 Oct ’24
  • Last date for submission of online Application: (Before 16.10.2024 11:59 PM)
  • Last date for submission of fee is 16.10.2024 (Before11:59 PM)
  • Date of Examination is Dec 15, 2024

How to submit CTET Online Application Form:

  • STEP 1: Log on to CTET official web site https://ctet.nic.in
  • STEP 2: Go to the link “Apply Online” and open the same.
  • STEP 3: Fill in the Online Application Form and note down Registration No./Application No.
  • STEP 4: Upload latest Scanned Photograph and Signature
  • STEP 5: Pay Examination Fee by debit/credit card and net banking.
  • STEP 6: Print Confirmation page for record and future reference.

CTET 2024 Eligibility Criteria:

The exam is conducted in two papers- Paper 1 and Paper 2 by CBSE. The CTET Paper 1 is for Primary Teachers to teach Classes 1 to 5, and Paper 2 is for Elementary Teachers to teach Classes 6 to 8. Aspirants can also apply for both papers if they want to teach Classes 1-8.

CTET Eligibility Criteria for Paper 1 (Classes 1 to 5):

  • Candidate must have passed Class 12 with a minimum of 45 per cent aggregate.
  • Candidate should pass or pursuing the final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized University/Institution. OR
  • Candidate must have passed or pursuing the final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education with a minimum of 45% marks in accordance with the NCTE, Regulations, 2002. OR
  • Candidate must have passed or pursuing the final year of 4 years of a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education (B.El. Ed) from a recognized University/Institution with at least 50% marks. OR
  • Candidate must have passed or still pursuing the final year of 2 years Diploma in Special Education with at least 50% marks from a recognized University/Institution.

CTET 2024 Eligibility Criteria required for Paper 2 (Classes 6 to 8):

  • Candidate should be Graduate with 50 percent marks; means have passed bachelor degree and having Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years duration) or appearing in the final year examination of Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years duration). OR
  • Candidate should be Graduate with 50 percent marks; means have passed bachelor degree and having Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree or appearing in the final year examination of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed). OR
  • Candidate have passed Senior Secondary or its equivalent test with a minimum of 50 per cent marks and has cleared or appeared in final year exam of 4 years duration Bachelor of Elementary Education. OR
  • Candidate have passed Senior Secondary or its equivalent exam with 50 per cent marks and cleared or appearing in final year exam of B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed or B.A/B.Sc.Ed.
